When the album of the same name by Spiritual Cramp came into my hands the other day, I thought: „Oh! Fresh punk mixed with a bit of new wave and alternative rock, sounds good and is fun! Then I listened to it a second time and my first impression quickly faded. The lyrics of the band (Michael Bingham/vocals, Mike Fenton/bass, Jacob Breeze/lead guitar, Nate Punty/rhythm guitar, Julian Smith/drums) are anything but superficial! They seem to have seen and/or experienced a lot. In any case, they think and denounce!
Blowback: Another riot in the streets, Another riot in the city, Another town that’s burning down because the cops are being shitty…..I wanna know whose side you’re on!
Talkin On The Internet: Another day – another credit card declined, Don’t worry about it we can just use mine, On another day, in a different place, in another state at a new time, Think I’m getting sick of always hearing about it. You’re always talking on the internet.
I’ll find out when I talk to the band! Oh yes: Spiritual Cramp. A great album to listen to more than once!
